On March 26, 2024, Liu Huizhong, Deputy Director of the Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Commission, together with Professor Wang Min, Vice President of Tianjin University of Science and Technology, and Professors Hu Aijun, Zheng Yu, and Song Jia—heads of the Department of Food Science and Engineering—visited Tianjin Tianwei Food Company for a research and inspection visit. Wang Jun, Secretary of the company’s Party Branch and Chairman of the Board, along with Manager Tong Guangxiang and other members of the management team, accompanied the delegation. They toured the canning workshop, the production facilities, and the quality-control laboratory, and held a symposium.

Under the guidance of Director Liu, the company’s leadership and experts from the University of Science and Technology engaged in in-depth discussions on the R&D of tomato‑based products, technological upgrades and transformations, and project collaborations, reaching a consensus. Going forward, they will coordinate and advance the implementation of specific projects.
